T/A Chowe fines chiefs for late release of children from initiation camps

15 chiefs from the area of T/A Chowe in Mangochi have been fined a goat or pay k25, 000 each for releasing late the school going children from the initiation camps.

Speaking in an interview with Radio Islam T/A Chowe said this is in accordance with the by-laws that chiefs in the district agreed.

“I summoned and ordered them to pay such a fine, some have paid and those who fail to pay in three weeks time will be suspended,” said T/A Chowe.

He then urged his fellow chiefs in the country to observe time when conducting their activities.
