Stakeholders ask government to speed constructing new Balaka hospital
Stakeholders in Balaka have asked government to speed up the process of constructing a new district hospital because the current one’s problems are beyond control
This has been noted during an interaction with deputy minister of health Chrissie Kanyasho on the operation of the district hospital since the fie accident
Kanyasho revealed that “My Ministry will start feasibility study on the land which the council already identified for the construction.”
She promised to address some of the problems which she identified during her visit
In his remarks district medical officer Dr Aisha Katita emphasized the need for immediate support as the facility is serving more patients beyond its capacity
Katita also said despite the challenges being faced after the fire accident the hospital has been trying to provide quality services during the recovery process
