Sheikhs Workshop commences in Mangochi

A three day training program for sheikhs in Mangochi district has commenced today Tuesday 13th August, 2024

The event has been organised by Zulala Charity Foundation, Chiwa Contractors Limited and Hope Foundation

Speaking during the opening ceremony Sheikh Muhammad Adin Chiwa chief executive officer of Chiwa Contractors said the training serves as a refresher for sheikhs to revisit and reinforce knowledge they may have forgotten

Sheikh Chiwa said the program has also introduced new topics that some sheikhs may not have previously encountered

He emphasized the significance of the courses in deepening the understanding of tawheed and educating people on this fundamental aspect of faith

Chairperson of Muslim Association of Malawi in Mangochi Sheikh Fahad Kamsuli urged the sheikhs to be exemplary by displaying good behavior in order be role models in their communities

Echoing his sentiments deputy chairman of Ulamah Council of Malawi for Mangochi Sheikh Adam Mussah called for unity among sheikhs across the country

The training sessions will be led by secretary general of Majilis Ulama Council of Malawi Sheikh Muslim Abas Vinjenje and Sheikh Twaha Idrisa from Balaka
