Ruto inaugurated Kenya president
Kenya’s president elect William Ruto has been sworn in at a function which was attended by some African countries
In his speech Ruto hailed the court for ruling in his favour in the elections case
Ruto said it was as “a moment like no other”, adding that a “village boy” had become president.
He said the Ruto administration marked “freedom” for Kenya, and the days when people were targeted because of their association with him “are over.”
Ruto won the election with 50.5% of the vote, to Raila Odinga’s 48.8%.
