Radio Islam Listeners support Muslims at Maula Prison

Radio Islam Listeners Association Salima Chapter has supported Muslims at Maula Prison with assorted food and non-food items

Speaking to Radio Islam Chairperson of the Asssociation who is popularly known as Azyambo has said the development aims at assisting Muslim inmates at the prison to have food during this holy month of Ramadhan

Azyambo said their association is aware that prisoners in the country face numerous challenges hence the donation

Speaking after receiving the donation, Muslim coordinator at the Prison Maxwell Kagame said the donation has come at the right time that will make it easy for Muslim inmates during the breaking of their fasting

Kagame said the Prison has a lot of Muslim inmates who are observing the holy month of Ramadhan as there are over 300 Muslim inmates who are facing numerous challenges in practicing Islam

In his remarks, one of the inmates at the prison Alie Ibrahim said they are grateful to Muslim organizations for rendering their support during their stay at the Prison

Ibrahim said the support they are receiving from well-wishers is really helping them to practice Islam

However, he asked for more support as the Prison has a lot of reverts who are lacking required resources
