PP supporters defect to Katsonga’s PPM
Twenty four supporters of Peoples Party (PP) including the chair lady for Mchinji West constituency have defected to Peoples Progressive Movement PPM.
According to the chairlady for Mchinji West constituency Patuma, the twenty four are impressed with the developmental agendas that president of PPM Mark Katsonga has especially on youth and Agriculture.
Patuma told people who gathered at Mchinji boma that PPM’s 20 points plan which includes closing the account number one have convinced them.
She said Katsonga has won people’s heart and shows that he can make a better Malawi for everybody if voted into power come Tuesday next week.
In his remarks Katsonga said the defection of people into his party from different parties is a sign that people are tired of governments which have been abusing account number one, hence there is a need to change things come Tuesday next week.
Katsonga said if voted into power he will handover ADMARC to farmers so that the profit which it accumulates should be for farmers not for government.
Katsonga who visited Mkanda and Mchinji Boma on Monday also showcased his party’s shadow MP’s for two constituencies which include Joseph MaziziNgozo for Mchinji East and Grevazio Chiomba for Mchinji North constituency.
Among other things Joseph MaziziNgozo who is also the PPM’s spokesperson told the gathering at Mchinji Boma that he will upgrade dilapidated roads around Mchinji Township and help farmers find reliable markets for their produce.
