Parliament has adopted a report on Constituency Development Fund (CDF) Bill presented by Legal Affairs Committee.
Speaking in Parliament Chairperson of the Committee Gilbert Khonyongwa said they consulted Civil Society Organisations, Malawi Local Government Association (MALGA), Ministry of Justice and mover of the Bill.
Khonyongwa said the committee recommended that law makers should not handle or approve funds directly and district councils managing all financial and procurement processes in line with Public Finance Management Act.
