PAC sets special committee on the Billboard saga

Public Affairs Committee PAC has established a committee that will mediate the talks on the removal of the Islamic Information Bureau Billboard by Blantyre City Council.

PAC Publicist Bishop Gilford Matonga has disclosed this in an interview with Radio Islam following a NEC meeting held on thursday.
“Through the meeting a committee has been set to ensure proper conclusion on this issue,”He said.

He said PAC will complete the mediation talks next week hence asking the public to remain calm as the matter needs serious attention.

Last week Blantyre City Council removed the billboard following an ultimatum which was given by the Evangelical Association of Malawi.

But Muslim Association of Malawi said it will seek legal redress on the matter while IIB gae the council 7 days to bring back the billboard.
