PAC rejects Ombudsman Martha Chizuma as ACB director

Public Appointments Committee of Parliament PAC has rejected the appointment of Martha Chizuma as new director of ant corruption bureau

Chizuma who is the ombudsman failed the interviews which were held at parliament building after Chakwera appointed her among the three candidates

In normal circumstance PAC consists of 21 members including the chairperson and deputy

9 out of the 18 members who showed up to the interview voted against Chizuma by giving her 11 out of 25 points

PAC chair Joyce Chitsulo said “Chizuma had failed because her performance during the interview was below average.”
