103 students who have graduated from Maone Technical College under informal Programme have been urged to observe honesty and professionalism in their work for them to be successful.
Principal administrative officer for Chiradzulu District Council Adziwa Angel Masumbo said this during the graduation of tailoring, bricklaying, carpentry and joinery students from rural areas of Chapola, Sadick and Chotokwa
Masumbo said vocational skills play very important role in uplifting lives of poor people in rural areas by showcasing their skills hence getting money to support their families.
Country director for Malawi Relief Fund Uk MRF Yakub Valli said the empowerment Programme has equipped over 500 students with vocational skills
“MRF has embarked on goat and cow farming, as well as training local community in horticulture farming to produce more yields for their families,” says Valli
He has said that aim of the program is to empower villagers to start business and employ others to be independent.
