Mzuzu City Council calls for Assistance on Street Lights

Chief Executive officer of Mzuzu City Council has asked partners and telecommunication companies to assist in the connection of street lights

Speaking during the 2024 executive summit Gomezgani Nyasulu proposed turning the corporate social budget of ESCOM on removing the charge on public facilities and enhance security

Nyasulu said they have flat light attached to the tower and queried the absence of street lights when there is ESCOM in the city

In his speech Mayor of Mzuzu City Kondwani Nyasulu said conversation of the issue of street lighting has been ongoing hence promising that anytime from now they should be able to see the response

Nyasulu said they are negotiating the water rates especially the domestic and industrial ones

On her part UN resident coordinator Addah Donto said one way of achieving sustainable development is to have sustainable cities and communities
