Mzuzu central hospital isolates 5 over disease of public concern

Mzuzu central hospital has isolated 5 people with suspected communicable infection of public concern

Director of the hospital Dr Ted Bandawe says one or two are being treated as typhoid fever

Dr Bandawe adds that they are coming from different places and the other three are being treated as adult measles

According to Mzuzu central hospital the first two who presented with bleeding are doing very well for all the bleeding has stopped

However, the other three family members did not present with any bleeding

Dr Bandawe says a team from public health department has joined Mzuzu central hospital and Mzimba north district health office in dealing with the suspected disease
