MYU donates medical equipment to Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital

Muslim Youth United (MYU) has donated medical equipment worth K8 million to Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital in Blantyre barely two weeks after President Dr Lazarus Chakwera declared the country as a state of national disaster.

MYU through its ‘Fight Against Covid 19 Initiative’ embarked on a program aimed at collecting money to buy personal protective equipments and other items for the hospital.

Speaking after the donation, MYU Head of Health Department, Mudassir Anjum, said “it is the responsibility of every Malawian to see that covid 19 patients are receiving adequate medication.”

Anjum said MYU was equally concerned to learn that QECH is running out of the equipments hence the donation. He also pledged to work with QECH officials and see how further they can assist.
