Mutharika inaugurated chancellor of MUST

Malawi University of Science and Technology MUST has been asked to offer humanity programs.

Professor Goolan Muhammad of MUST said this during the inauguration of President Professor Peter Mutharika as chancellor of the University in Thyolo district.

“Malawian universities must ignore research which shows that they are performing badly among African universities,” said Muhammad.

In his remarks president Mutharika criticized politicians and commentators who say has failed to lead the country.

“The failed leader cannot construct the magnificent MUST and roads among other developments,” said Mutharika.

According to Muhammad the rankings are baseless.

He asked MUST to incorporate humanity programs in its curriculum.

Speaking earlier Minister of education, science and technology asked Malawians to be innovative to develop Malawi.

During the function students who had been performing brilliantly were unveiled.
