Muslims leaders asked to fullfil promises
Muslim Association of Malawi has called on Muslim leaders to serve interests of Muslims.
The remarks were made during Iftar program organized by Muslim Association of Malawi Blantyre Chapter on Wednesday evening in Blantyre.
Addressing the gathering, MAM secretary general for southern region Sharif Kaisi said for Islam to develop in Malawi, Muslim leaders should visionary.
In his remarks, guest of honor, Alhaj Sidick Mia concurred with Kaisi saying Muslim leaders in Malawi should stop serving their pockets and deliver promises.
“Islam in the country is lagging behind in developments because authorities are not delivering their promises to Muslims,” said Mia
Chairman for Muslim Association of Malawi Blantyre chapter Aman Omar commended Mia for supporting Muslims in the country.
“My chapter will live up to its promises so that Islam in the country is developed,” Omar said.
The iftar program was attended by muslin men from various townships in Blantyre.
