“Shaban has come, let us do well and remain united, if we do that, Allah will reward us. we know for the past months, there has been some quietness in as far as moon sighting issues are concerned, no one was saying they follow global sighting let us respect our leadership”. He said.
The Grand Mufti has also appealed to all Sheikhs in the country to remain united and work together on matters related to moon sighting in order to promote peace and unity.
He added that Muslims should resolve any existing conflicts among themselves and encouraged those with debts to make serious efforts to pay back the loans within the month of Shaban for them to enter the month of Ramadan in a good and peaceful state.
