Muslim graduates to use social media for development
Muslim students graduating from the country’s public universities have been advised to use social media to bring positive change in their societies
This was said by country manager for gift of the givers foundation Sherifa Mia during a farewell ceremony for outgoing Muslim students at Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences MUBAS
Mia said Muslim students should use the social media as a platform to portray a positive image about Islam
On his part patron for MUBAS Muslim students association Dr Sufiyan Rasheed said regardless of challenges emanating from the digital transformation, social media has created many opportunities
On government call to graduants to be job creators Alick Shaban Ishmael a final year student in Geological engineering said “there is need for authorities to make sure that loans are accessible to everyone.”
Ishmael said despite having entrepreneurial ideas that can transform the country there is a need to have capital
MUBAS has 40 outgoing students in various study program and the farewell ceremony has been held under the theme: impact of social media to Muslim students
