Muslim Association of Malawi Organises Medical Surgery Camps

Muslim Association of Malawi MAM in conjunction with Ministry of Health has organized medical surgery camps in Machinga and Mangochi districts.

In an interview with radio Islam, project officer for MAM Sheikh Farooq Chibaya said the camps will take place on 22nd April to 3rd May this year.

Sheikh Chibaya said they expect 15 doctors from Saudi Arabia will conduct the surgeries in the two districts.

“Their representatives were in the country some days ago to assess the required equipment and have promised to buy them as there is a shortage in Mangochi and Machinga districts,” explained sheikh Chibaya.

He said so far over 500 patients have already registered for the surgery.

World Assembly of Muslim Youth WAMY from Saudi Arabia has funded the program.
