Mulanje Mountain Conservation Trust bemoans laxity in law enforcement

Mulanje Mountain Conservation Trust (MMCT) officials say laxity in law enforcement is one of the major factors that are leading to destruction of natural resources.

According to Moffat Kayembe, Programmes Officer responsible for forest co-management and sustainable livelihood, people do not abide by the law as it is weak.

Kayembe has therefore urged the department of forestry and other law enforcers to strengthen the law in order to preserve natural resources in the country.
