MRA has new Commissioner General
Board of Directors of Malawi Revenue Authority MRA has announced the appointment of new Commissioner General Mr Daniel Dominic Daka
The Board has also appointed new executive director of Cooperate Affairs Mr Douglas Katchomoza
In a media release Head of Corporate Affairs Steve Kapoloma says the appointment of the two seasoned professionals to key leadership positions effective 20 August 2024
Kapoloma says Daka is a seasoned tax legal practitioner with over 20 years of management experience therefore his extensive background in legal affairs and tax administration will be invaluable in his new role
“He assumes this position after serving as Director of Legal Services in Ministry of Finance since 2022,” says Kapoloma
Kapoloma also says Katchomoza brings over 20 years of experience in customs management hence his deep understanding of customs operation and strategic management will greatly benefit MRA as the Authority continues to advance its strategic objectives
“These appointments underscore the Board’s commitment to drive the organisation forward during this critical period of growth and transformation,” Kapoloma adds.
Kapoloma has replaced former MRA Commissioner General John Biziwick
