Member of Parliament for Mangochi North, Ismail Kazembe has assured people in the area that all is set to deliver fertilizer through water transport as the road is impassable.
Kazembe made these remarks in response to complaints from constituents regarding difficulties in accessing fertilizer and shortage of other fertilizer types at certain selling points.
According to Kazembe, he submitted a report to Minister of Agriculture and Water Development concerning fertilizer distribution in some areas of the constituency where residents are still awaiting delivery.
“I conducted an investigation which found irregularities in distribution process, with some individuals buying two bags of fertilizer while others only one,” says Kazembe
Speaking to Radio Islam, Kazembe assured people in his area that all documented problems will be addressed based on the feedback he has received from the responsible ministry
In his remarks, Frank Kachere from Mdala Maluma village in Lulanga says that the MP’s words are encouraging but hopes that they will translate into tangible actions not just empty promises.
