Money agents to vacate Companies’ Injunction
Airtel money and TNM Mpamba agents say are working on vacating an injunction which the two mobile money companies obtained against the latter’s demonstrations slated for 16th November.
The injunction dated 14th November, 2023 was obtained at High Court in Blantyre.
The agents under a grouping called Voice of Agents and Concerned Agents informed Lilongwe District Commissioner on 8th November that they wanted to march because of reduction in commissions.
They said discussions with the companies, Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority and Reserve Bank of Malawi yielded no fruits hence their decision to hold the protests.
Speaking in an interview with Radio Islam, one of the agents who opted for anonymity says they are discussing the injunction with their lawyers.
