Ministry to integrate 59 street connected kids to schools

Ministry of Gender, community Development and Social welfare says will integrate 59 street connected kids to various schools after the rehabilitation process this week.

Minister responsible Patricia Kaliati has said this in an interview with radio Islam when it wanted to know the progress of the initiative which was launched last year.

According to Kaliati, the ministry has managed to remove a number of street connected kids in all cities of the country adding some are still in rehabilitation centres for counseling before being enrolled in schools.

“The ministry has put in place initiatives that will entice the kids to stay in the rehabilitation centres like computer lessons,” Kaliati

Kaliati has then requested parents and guardians to care for their children for a better and productive nation.
