MEC Headquarters finally relocates from Commercial to Capital City

Malawi Electoral Commission MEC headquarters has finally relocated from Blantyre to Lilongwe.

Confirming the development director of media and public relations Sangwani Mwafulirwa says MEC’s office in the capital city is now operational.

“We urge all stakeholders to be contacting the new offices in the capital city,” Mwafulirwa says

Meanwhile, Malawi Electoral System Network MESN welcomed MEC’s relocation to Lilongwe as it will help in smooth operations of elections

Speaking to radio Islam MESN vice chairperson Boniface Chibwana said the relocation is part of electoral reforms that stakeholders proposed long time ago.
