MEC announces change of by-elections ballot papers arrival
Malawi Electoral Commission MEC has announced change in the arrival of ballot papers for 30th March by-elections.
According to MEC’s calendar the ballot papers were expected in the country on 26 March but this has been changed due to changes of the available flight to carry the papers.
Speaking in an interview with Radio Islam, Director of Media and Public Relations Officer of the commission, Sangwani Mwafulirwa, said “we have left the duty of identifying the flight in the hands of the company printing the papers in Dubai.”
Meanwhile, the commission has condemned acts of violence in Chikwawa.
The by-elections will be held in 7 constituencies and two wards following the death of the parliamentarians and councillors as well as the nullification of results by the court
