Mangochi council advises people to intensify battle against covid

Mangochi Chief Executive officer Abubakar Nkhoma has urged people in the district to adhere to covid-19 preventive measures as the district continues to register more cases.

The appeal has been made during a council meeting organized to outline and allocate covid 19 funds upon receipt from government.

Nkhoma further asked members of the public to abide by the rules, saying everyone has to take responsibility of protecting oneself and others.

Meanwhile, Mayor for Mangochi Municipal Council, Councilor Edina Yusuf, said “the funds will ease the challenges they have been facing in the fight against the pandemic in the district.”

Councilor Yusuf said as leaders they will keep on monitoring and evaluating every activity to ensure that the money is used effectively.
