Muslim Association of Malawi MAM has held discussions with Qatari government on issues regarding welfare of Malawian Muslims.
The MAM delegation currently in Doha is being led by MAM chairperson Sheikh Idrissa Muhammad.
In an interview with Radio Islam, MAM publicity secretary Sheikh Dinala Chabulika said the engagement was very vital towards promoting Islam in Malawi.
Sheikh Chabulika said MAM has assured Qatar government that Malawi government is ready to work with them for the betterment of Malawians including Muslim community.
He said the group also had an engagement with charity organisations including Qatar Charity to enhance working relationships with government in strengthening relations between the two countries.
