Muslim Association of Malawi MAM has been deregistered as nongovernmental organization NGO in order to be registered as a faith based organization
Its publicity secretary Sheikh Dinala Chabulika says the registration of MAM as faith based organization will assist in effective implementation of development activities across the country.
Sheikh Chabulika says the NGO registrar Authority has considered MAM‘s board of trustees’ decision to deregister the organization as an NGO
He said this is this is a very good development because Muslim Association of Malawi as a faith based organization will be able to fully champion several developmental activities than before.
Sheikh Chabulika further said as an umbrella body of Muslim organizations, MAM will create several departments that will be initiating various activities hence efficient projects delivery.
