Muslim Association of Malawi MAM has issued a stern warning to Islamic schools that are only offering Islamic or secular education saying this is denying children their right to complete education.
Speaking with Radio Islam MAM spokesperson sheikh Dinala said the association is aware of some Islamic schools particularly those run by foreigners that are implementing the unbalanced education system.
Sheikh Chabulika said while Islamic studies are essential for every Muslim, the institutions must not neglect secular subjects.
“Therefore MAM will take disciplinary action against schools found guilty of the malpractice,” says Sheikh Chabulika
Sheikh Chabulika has also requested madrassah owners to take advantage of the upcoming first term holiday to catch up with the lost time.
