Malawi President in China

President Dr Lazarus Chakwera says has arrived safely in Beijing & geared for the tight schedule in the 2024 Summit of Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC).

Writing on his Facebook page Monday morning Chakwera says Malawi is attending the summit to consolidate cooperation with China & expedite implementation of economic, trade s well as infrastructural initiatives.

He says on schedule is a bilateral meeting with President of People’s Republic of China, His Excellency Xi Jinping.

Chakwera says will also engage a number of stakeholders in the transport & ICT sector to navigate more opportunities on top of what they are already doing in Malawi.
