Malawi Parliament against Vannet & Bongo minibuses

Some people in Blantyre say the idea of Parliamentary Committee on Transport and Infrastructure to stop Vannet and Bongo Minibus from transporting people on Malawi’s roads is not a good idea.

They have said this as the committee has proposed to road Traffic directorate and safety services that such type of minibuses must be banned as they are causing many accidents.

While others say bongos and vanets are not the cause of accidents on the country’s roads others say the idea will affect businesses of minibus owners and increase unemployment rate.
