Malawi Launches Health Policy and Strategic Plan

Ministry of health says the first national health policy and human resources for health strategic plan will help improve the provision of quality health services to Malawians.

Minister of health Atupele Muluzi made the remarks during the launch of the policy at Bingu International Convention Centre.

Muluzi says the policy will be used to achieve health-related sustainable development goals and international commitments that the government of Malawi is a signatory to.

“The policy will help to improve health status of Malawians, providing adequate financial risk protection and improving client satisfaction,” Muluzi said

He added that the 2018-2022 Human resources for health strategic plan will ensure that there is an adequate number of skilled and experienced health workers for smooth delivery of health care services to Malawians.
