Majilis Ullamah Council of Malawi satisfied with Sheikhs Seminars’ outcomes

Majilis Ullamah Council of Malawi has expressed gratitude that series of seminars for the Sheikhs have started bearing fruits.

Secretary General of the Council Sheikh Muslim Abbas Vinjenje, confided this to Radio Islam as a weeklong training is underway in Salima district.

Sheikh Vinjenje said his organisation decided to host the workshops after noting that sanity among the Sheikhs in Malawi has befallen.

” It was very worrisome to see Sheikhs castigating each other on minor issues.  Since the starting of the seminars last year, issues of indiscipline among the Sheikhs have been minimized,” explains Sheikh Vinjenje.

He however expressed hope that if the current situation continues, the fighting among the Sheikhs will remain history.

One of the participants, Supretendant Sheikh Mustafa Chibwana from Malawi Police Service Headquarters in Lilongwe, commended Majilis Ullamah for the initiative.

Supt Sheikh Chibwana said the workshops are tackling issues affecting Muslims in the country like matters of unity and obeying the authorities.

The training is being facilitated by Sheikh Hamad Abdul Aziz Ibn Al-Attiq, a renowned Sheikh from Saudi Arabia.
