Machinga records over 200 Scabies cases

Machinga district health office has recorded over 200 cases of Scabies from January to May this year

According to Machinga district Hospital public relations officer Clifton Ngozo says the disease has hit almost all traditional authorities and the large cases have been registered in various health centers.

Ngozo says scabies have mostly attacked children and advised communities to practice proper hygiene standards.

On his part, Traditional Authority Mposa has urged his fellow traditional leaders to join the effort in conducting sensitization campaigns about the disease.

Mposa has advised all institutions that deal with large groups of people to be alert of cases of the skin condition
