King Muhammad the Sixth Foundation distributes iftar to cyclone affected Muslims

King Muhammad the Sixth Foundation has distributed iftar packages to Muslims affected by Cyclone Freddy in Blantyre.

Speaking to beneficiaries, Moroccan Head of Mission to Malawi, Naji Abdulkadrih, said the King of Morocco decided to distribute the items to reduce their suffering as they have nothing to eat during this month of fasting after all their belongings were washed away.

Abdulkadrih said Islam teaches the goodness of sharing food for breaking the fasting with less privileged Muslims.

In his remarks, Publicity Secretary for King Muhammad the Sixth Foundation Malawi Chapter, Masurool Daudi, commended the kingdom of Morocco for the continued support they render to Malawi.

Daudi said the office is carrying out a number of initiatives including Quran competition and iftar programs.

On cyclone Freddy, Daudi said his office will continue pleading with office of the foundation to provide more support especially to the victims
