Judge dismiss ACB application

Justice Kenyatta Nyirenda has dismissed an application by Anti-Corruption Bureau – ACB that was asking him to recuse himself from presiding over a judicial review case involving former Inspector General of Police George Kainja.

In the case Kainja is challenging his arrest in relation to Zunneth Sattar Corruption case.

ACB had weeks ago applied, asking Nyirenda to recuse himself but in a ruling delivered on Monday, Justice Nyirenda said the reasons given failed to satisfy the court.

Therefore Nyirenda has dismissed the application with costs.
