Congratulated IPTE 18 students at Maryam Girls Teacher Training College for emerging top nationally with 22 distinctions and over 100 credits.
Speaking during the graduation of 262 students Dr Banda said government is working hand in hand with private institutions to meet the better standards of education.
Banda urged the teachers to build a stronger and more productive Malawi and thanked the college staff for the tirelessly effort in assisting students to passing with flying colors.
Speaking during the ceremony board chair for the college Muhammad Tayyub said they are very proud of this year’s IPTE as they have done excellent and performed top nationally.
He has advised the grandaunts to portray values of Maryam where they will be teaching.
One of the students who has graduated with distinction shamim saidi has said hard work was the reason behind her top performance.
