Insufficient Research in Mathematics, Statistics in Malawi Worries IBS

International Biometric Society (IBS) has expressed concerns over insufficient research in fields of Mathematics and statistics in Malawi

Speaking at a conference in Blantyre President of IBS Malawi, Tsilizani Kaombe, says lack of well trained personnel in statistics delays research output in the field

Kaombe encouraged youth trainings in the field to build up a generation that will help in achieving Malawi 2063 Vision

Director of Science, Technology and Innovations in Ministry of Education, Chomora Mikeka, commended efforts by IBS in promoting statistical knowledge

Mikeka added that knowledge in Statistics is vital in attaining various development goals
