Improve Digital Payments- COMESA tells Malawi, member states
Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa COMESA has urged Malawi and other member states to improve digital payments to foster economic growth
Speaking in Lilongwe second vice chairperson of COMESA Business Council James Chimwaza said the fifth dialogue will help to bridge the gap in provision of affordable and accessible digital financial services
Chimwaa said this will enhance trust and confidence of micro small and medium enterprises in the region
He said the scheme will foster growth of e-commerce, promote regional integration and contribute to economic development
In his remarks Minister of Trade and Industry Simplex Chithyola Banda asked COMESA member states to develop a progressive regulatory framework that champions innovation and ensuring consumer protection
