HSA’s trained in Waste Management
As one way of promoting access to safe water and improve sanitation in Mangochi, Waste Malawi has trained health surveillance assistants HSA’s on waste management.
Water, Sanitation and Health Manager Twitty Munkhondia said they have trained the HAS’s so that they can mobilize and sensitize the community on good ways of waste management and sanitation.
“some of the challenges that Malawi face such as diseases can be eliminated if people are practicing good sanitation and waste management,” said Munkhondia
Speaking after the training one of the participants Trixa Masauli who is a senior HSA commended Waste Malawi for organizing the training.
“There is need for people in Mangochi to have a spirit of ownership by taking care of public latrines so that issues of sanitation in the district should be well achieved,” expressed Masauli.
