Halaal Department HD says will introduce a Halaal mobile application to enable the public easily access information on Halaal-certified companies and locations.
Speaking to Radio Islam HD National Coordinator Sheikh Abdulmajid Chibwe says will announce in dates of the launch of the app as currently experts are still working on it to its ensure efficiency.
Chibwe says the application will allow users to identify Halaal-certified eating places within their areas, access updates on newly certified businesses, and track companies whose certificates have been revoked.
Chibwe also said department has so far certified about 700 food companies and over 200 markets have a halaal systems, a development that underscores the importance of Halaal certification to the community both locally and across borders.
He stressed that “adherence to Halaal principles strengthens one’s connection with Allah, while consuming non-Halaal food may negatively affect the acceptance of one’s supplications.”
