In his speech minister of information Shadrick Namalomba says government has ordered an immediate forensic audit of the public sector wage bill saying its rapid growth is putting pressure on finances
Namalomba said the wage bill has risen from 479.6 billion kwacha in the 2021 to 2022 financial year to a projected 1.6 trillion kwacha in 2025 2026 fiscal year
