Government says will conduct comprehensive personal audit of all civil servants currently drawing remuneration from the public purse.
According to the letter addressed to all controlling officer and heads of government departments and agencies, the main objective of the exercise is to reconcile the schedule of the authorized officers in the Human Resource Management Information System database and payroll against existing bodies.
The letter from the Secretary for Human Resource Management and Development has stated that the exercise is scheduled to start 9th December, 2025 to 6 February, 2026.
Office Human Resource Management and Development says the exercise will be conducted in phases where the first phase will cover some ministries, departments and agencies.
All government employees are therefore asked to report to the audit team with their relevant and supporting documents.
Public servants are however urged to prepare for the exercise and personally come with relevant documents for verification.
The department has again warned that failure to appear before the audit team in person, it will be deemed not to be a bona fide public servant.
