Government terminates School project contract with Nangaunozye Company

Government has terminated a 2 billion kwacha contract with Nangaunozye Construction Company of Machinga secondary school project because the contractor failed to meet most of the agreed conditions

The development comes following a petition by a group of concerned citizens calling itself Friends of Machinga Trust FOM who recently asked the ministry to terminate the contract

Confirming the development principal secretary Chikondano Mussa said the ministry is in the process of identifying another contractor to finalise the project

Reacting to the development FOM Trust chairperson Dr Sinoya Winesi while commending the ministry for the development urged them to fast truck the process of identifying the contractor to ensure the school is fully completed

Efforts to speak to Nangaunozye Construction Company proved futile as the contractor was not picking up his call after several attempts
