Government reinstates interdicted district commissioners, CEOs
Government has re-instated district commissioners and Chief Executive Officers CEO’s who were interdicted in order to probe the alleged mismanagement of the 6.2 billion kwacha covid-19 funds by the councils
Public Relations Officer for ministry of local government Anjoya Mwanza has confirmed in an interview with Radio Islam that all 27 district commissioners and 7 chief executive officers should report to their offices.
Mwanza says they include those who were mentioned in the audit report that they were allegedly involved in the abuse of the funds
“We have asked them to collect letters directing them to resume their work,” Mwanza
Malawi Local Government Association MALGA demanded government to reinstate immediately the interdicted district commissioners who were not mentioned in the audit report
