Government has introduced Malawi Development Cooperation for establishment of mining company
Minister of mining Monica Changanamuno has told parliament that cabinet has approved the cooperation and is now under ministry of justice which is finalizing legal work
Chayanganamuno says once the legal processes are done the company will be operational
On Kasiya Rutile project the mining minister says physibility study is taking place and will conclude by the end of September followed by environmental impact assessment for 18 months
She disclosed that a week ago they had meetings with Sovereign Metals Company and the second largest mining company in the world Yochinto which will do the work in Kasiya project
Chayanganamuno said on Kanyika mining site the company Global Metals has finished exploration and signed a mining development agreement with government
Deputy Minister of education Nancy Chaola Mdooko said the ministry is planning to hold consultations with stakeholders on the request to change school uniform
