Government changes Chikwawa TTC opening due to theft

Government has changed the date of opening Chikwawa Teachers Training College from 1^st to 15^th May due to theft and vandalism of electrical fittings in all ten male hostels

According to Ministry of education the rehabilitation of the vandalized property is underway and expected to be completed by 13^th May

Meanwhile secretary for education Chikondano Mussa urges communities around education institutions to have ownership of institutional property

Mussa warns that the selected students who will not report to the institution by 29 April will lose their places as the ministry will declare them vacant

She has assured them of extending the academic calendar by two weeks in order to catch up with what fellow students in other Teachers Training Colleges learnt
