Fuel Crisis Worsens in Malawi

Government says over 70 trucks and 30 rail wagons carrying fuel are on their way from Mozambique and Tanzania to Malawi to ease fuel crisis

This has been said at a joint press briefing by Ministry of Information, National Oil Company of Malawi and Malawi Energy Regulatory Authority MERA

In his speech Minister of information Moses Kumkuyu says government has provided 21.5 million dollars to importers to supply 26.9 million litres of fuel to Malawi

Kumkuyu says government has secured funds from BADEA Bank to ease forex challenges adding that over 150 trucks have been earmarked to transport fuel into the country.
