Former president’s bodyguard answers fake MSCE case
Bodyguard of former president professor Peter Mutharika, Norman Chisale has appeared before Lilongwe court on the offence of using fake MSCE to get recruited in Malawi Defense Force
Chisale’s lawyers objected in the court to the commencement of the case saying there is an outstanding issue on his mental status in High court
However state prosecutor Steven Kayuni argued that “the two medical reports at the court indicate that he is mentally fit to stand trial.”
The state promised to provide the medical reports to the court
Chisale was released from police custody by Supreme Court of appeal because inspector general of police was detaining him illegally.
