Electoral Commission Removes 628 Names from Mwansa Ward Voters Roll
Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) says has removed all the 628 people who were registered in the voter’s row between 20th and 26th August 2023 in Mwansa ward.
Speaking during a an interface meeting with electoral stakeholders in Mangochi, MEC Chairperson Justice Dr Chifundo Kachale, says the delayed elections in Mwasa ward will be conducted on 16th November this year.
According to Kachale, the development came following the grievances raised by the citizens saying that National Registration Bureau issued 700 national IDs in 3 days for under aged children to take part in voting exercise.
Kachale has since assured the electoral stakeholders that every irregular registration will not take part in the polling for Mwasa ward.
